Ambiguous Boundaries opens Friday, April 3

Ambiguous Boundaries is a two-person exhibition with Kristen Letts Kovak, running from April 3 to May 30 at Mark Rengers Gallery’s FNB Exhibition Hall.

Kristen Letts Kovak’s richly layered paintings draw from her close ovservations of the natural world. Her process brings intutive energy to her compositions, where wild hybrid spaces fill your visual field with abundant flows of color. As we’ve prepared this show, we have spent time discussing how the process of perception leads us to make different kinds of visual sense of the world. The process has brought me new perspectives I’m looking forward to sharing.

The FNB Exhibition Hall is an expansive space! I have been filled with anticipation preparing images that will make the most of its scale. For starters: get ready to see the photograph above in a print that is literally taller than I am.
